Both salts and oils are used for relaxation.A lot of bath products contain essential oils,which can benefit in many ways.Some help to reduce tension,cure aching muscles,help to unwind ,or even help to sleep better,eg Lavender. Salts also have some properties which can benefit the skin,nervous system,etc. I love to relax in my bath, I always have candles,soft music,oils its the best way to end the day.Why do people use bath oils and/or bath salts?

It just makes you relax and at the same time it makes your skin like baby skin.
