Why add salt to a bath?

I've recently been circumcised (wednesday) and the doctor insisted that when I go for a bath I should add salt, why is that?

Also, is normal salt okay to add in?Why add salt to a bath?
- hey david b !

- NO

- do not use regular salt or U my main little dude will be in total agony, lol.

- regular salt will make it burn like heck.

- what U need instead is some Epson Salt.

- why Epson Salt ?

- well U wouldn't think that a common mineral could do so much, but it does.

- Magnesium sulfate, better known as Epson Salt, is popular in stress-reducing skin-softening %26amp; ache-relieving soaks.

- just go 2 any drug stores or a major department store %26amp; get yourself some.

- it's real cheap.

- it's also not painfull like regular salt %26amp; it will help a lot with the healing process. Why add salt to a bath?
It's to help the stitches disolve.

Why didn't you ask your doctor this when he told you? Seriously he was standing right there and he's the person you need to be asking not us.

Also you shouldn't do it within the first week because you don't want the stitches to desolve too soon.

I think the real reason is that plain water will sting a bit. Your body is salty, and when you put fresh water on it, it can sting.

For example, if you snort water up your nose, it doesn't sting when you use salty water.
Because it might be too sweet... OH MY FUKING GOD IM SO FUNNY......... AH HA HA HA!...... *** YES MAN!...... IM A JOKE MACHINE MATE....... YEAAA... HAAAAAAAA...... WHY DON'T YOU ALL JUST GIVE UP...... IM SO MUCH MORE FUNNY THAN YOU......... HAHAHA.... *** YES...... IM A LEGEND............. *** YES!
we just had our 4 month old son c谋rcumc谋sed (rel谋g谋ous reasons) n the doctor told us NOT to add salt to the bath water...he was allowed 谋n the bath 6 days after c谋rcumc谋s谋on %26amp; he d谋dnt cry.

My son 谋s now fully healed 谋t took 2 weeks
