What exactly is epsom salt? I heard it was good for aches and pains. Is there a way to use it besides a bath?

Magnesium Sulfate crystals - Magnesium reduces a pain transmitter in the nervous system called substance P and can help with relief for arthritis pain, sore backs, neck pain, muscle soreness, and muscle cramps.

Sulfates are needed for the formation of brain tissue, joint proteins and the mucin proteins that line the walls of the digestive tract. It can stimulate the pancreas to generate digestive enzymes and help to detoxify the body's residue of medicines and environmental contaminants.

Magnesium Sulfate is readily absorbed by the skin and an Epsom Salt Bath is a great way to do this. There is a lotion that you can use as a body rub which has Magnesium Sulfate in it called Epsom-It.What exactly is epsom salt? I heard it was good for aches and pains.
