My calves are really sore from running. Will a warm sea salt bath help?

Actually, that is probably exactly what you DON'T want. Salt water draws fluid OUT of the body (remember osmosis from chem??) and since you have been running you most likely are a bit dehydrated. Soaking in a concentration of sea salts will draw even more moisture from your body. Great if you have a sprain and swelling...bad if you are dehydrated.

I recommend hydration (water and maybe some juice), massage (just ';knead'; your calf muscles to loosen them up and keep them pliable), and some stretching. Also, when you come to the end of a run...don't go from full speed to zero speed. Walk a bit or jog a bit. The buildup of lactic acid (a waste product of muscular exertion) that occurs can be countered by what people refer to as a ';cool down'; period. Give this all a shot, I am guessing you'll notice a big difference. My calves are really sore from running. Will a warm sea salt bath help?
yes and a nice massage never hurt anybody.
