Can fantails take a salt bath?

my fantails have white spots would a salt bath be a good idea are there any better sollutions if so please shareCan fantails take a salt bath?
They could, but in the end, removing a fish from its tank, letting it swim around in a saline solution, and then removing it from that is gonna be far too stressful... Stressed fish are more susceptible to disease, so in the end, it would probably be safer to just buy medication or add salt to the whole tank (raise the temp. to low-mid 80's and add 1 teaspoon/gallon).

Ich leaves tomonts (encysted ';baby parasites) in the gravel, which a salt bath will not treat. The whole tank should be treated as it is very likely that all the fish are carrying it, even if the parasite hasn't manifested itself yet.

EDIT: It isn't that the salt has some mysterious power to kill parasites, but the raised salinity does. Parasites and bacteria are less capable of tolerating salinity swings than fish are, so while the fish may only get slightly stressed (they might not mind at all), the parasites will be totally dehydrating. Can fantails take a salt bath?
Sounds like ich and salt won't kill it. You need to get an ich treatment and use it following the directions exactly. Ich is almost always present in a tank but will appear when the fish are stressed. You may need to look at what cause the outbreak as well. Check your water quality. Goldfish are very messy fish and if not housed and maintained properly can foul water in no time.
